On the final lap, Rodgers was third, Malo ne fourt h , Ru nyard fifth , Larn p uu six th , Urban seventh and Chaplin eighth, all ~till within 50 yards of each o ther before Runyard rolled to a stop. He first thought he had seized a piston when hc pushed back to the pits. but apparently that wasn't the p ro b lem as he was back in the thick of th in gs in round two, in which he p laced third behind Lackey and Rapp. In the final 250, it was again Lackey to the point, never to lose it after being twice passed by Holcomb in the earl y stages. Bryar hu ng on for seco nd with Runyard again showing well in third to take third overall. Rapp had a miserable start but was p icking off p ositions until Tom h ad some slight p rob lem a nd was fo rced to c ool it in sixth . T h e p osition was sti ll good eno ugh fo r second o vera ll.
