go. Kelly now holds an unassail-
able 70-point lead over Escalan-
te (365 to 295) with Lochoff
third on 182. Landers is close
and still has a shot at third in the
series with 182.
STOCK 1000
Jake Lewis has wrapped up
the Stock 1000 Championship
in fine style at NJMP, taking a
0.505-second win over Ashton
Yates in the single Stock 1000
race of the season.
Lewis and Yates were the
class of the field, pulling clear
of the chasing pack that was
surprisingly led by local Mike
Seipe (Markbuilt Yamaha). In his
the line to set up his title charge
for race two. It was looking as
though the Floridian would seal
the deal with another win after
a close battle with Escalante, Lo-
choff and Rocco Landers (Land-
ers Racing Yamaha), but Lochoff
had other plans.
Using supreme corner speed
out of the fast final righthander
onto the front straight, Lochoff
slingshotted past Kelly to take
a maiden win in MotoAmerica
Supersport with Escalante third
and Landers fourth.
The second place for Kelly,
however, was enough to seal his
first MotoAmerica Supersport
Championship with one round to
one point behind Baz with 185.
The final round of MotoAmeri-
ca 2021 is this coming weekend
at Barber Motorsports Park in
Alabama.
SUPERSPORT
The two Supersport races were
a typical dog-eat-dog battle be-
tween Richie Escalante (Honos
HVMC Kawasaki) and Sean
Dylan Kelly (M4 Ecstar Suzuki),
with a little added spice thrown
in, in the form of Kelly's team-
mate, Sam Lochoff.
Kelly would be the ultimate
victor of the weekend, taking a
dramatic win in race one when
he out-dragged Escalante to
