march to the '21 tle while a number of
class part- mers stole the headlines. A er
finishing fourth on Monday—just 0.089
seconds back of the win—he said, "I rode
really ght the first half of the race, and
then I se led in and was able to make up a
lot of me. I'm really proud of how I rode,
but to get that close to a podium—even
a win—I'm a li le disappointed. For some
reason, I really struggled here, so to break
out of my comfort zone and ride the way
I did—even if it was a fourth—I'm really
happy with it."

15TH-5TH SUPERTWINS
Jeffrey Carver Jr., made his long-awaited
return to Mission SuperTwins ac on and
instantly showed podium pace. A broken
shi er killed his Sunday hopes, but he
ba led for the box on Monday. His desire
to go for second rather than se le for
third ul mately le him in fi h. He said,
"I sat back there with Briar a li le bit and
we got a gi for the restart. We were all
trying to stay in tow to stay with Jared, but
we just needed a couple different changes
Jared Mees is making his
move on the Miles. The
former champ won both
Springfield Miles and is
within striking distance
of points leader Briar
