IN THE WIND P56 JCR, Harden Off-Road to Host Handstands at 100mph B aja/Desert/Rally Champions, AMA/Off-Road Motorsports/ Trailblazer Hall of Famers Johnny Campbell and Scot Harden have come together to host "Hand- stands at 100mph," a special event celebrating the heritage and legacy of the Baja/desert motorcycle-racing fraternity. Based out of the Doffo Win- ery in Temecula, California, this special event will bring together the largest gathering of Baja/ desert motorcycle legends and champions ever assembled and will include historic-motorcycle displays, autograph sessions, food, drinks and will close with a private screening of the 50th anniversary showing of On Any Sunday. In addition, an optional dual-sport ride for those who want to ride together prior to the event. The festivities are sched- uled for Saturday, October 16, 2021. "Johnny and I have been talking about doing something special for the Baja/desert- racing motorcycle community for some time," said Harden. "We want to honor the legacy and the heritage of the sport we love so much, bring together our friends and colleagues, and hopefully in- spire the next generation of rac- ers to pursue their own dreams and adventures through this type of racing. We already have a long list of former champions and legends committed to attending the event, as well as some of the bikes that made history-winning events like the Baja 1000, BITD, and other major off-road events. We felt the time was right." "Racing has given each of us so much over the years," Johnny Campbell said. "Not only our lives but the lives of so many others have been dedicated to this sport. We are specifi- cally targeting SCORE/BITD/ NORRA/HDRA, D-37, D-38, MRAN, ADRA racers, and the clubs that have supported them over the years, and their friends and families. We invite them all to come out and join us for an afternoon of bench racing, camaraderie and good times. We have the awesome Doffo Winery to ourselves, some really cool motorcycles, and will cap the day off with a private viewing of the remastered On Any Sunday."
