Marco "Lucky" Lucchinelli had the Cycle News cover after clinching
the 500cc World Road Race Championship 40 years ago… Hank Scott
and Terry Poovey scored wins at the Indianapolis Mile, but Gary Scott
still had a generous points lead in the AMA GNC... The championship was
decided in Holland at the final round of the World Championship 250cc
MX, with Neil Hudson winning by just two points over Georges Jobe… A
