ahead of Lawrence, who was
followed across the finish line
another 20 seconds back by his
older brother and Honda team-
mate Hunter Lawrence, who
went 6-3 on the day for fourth
overall.
Martin is now third in the cham-
pionship despite a crash and inju-
ries that resulted in one DNF and
two DNS's earlier in the season.
Rounding out the top five
overall was Kawasaki's Austin
Forkner who is beginning to find
his form again after what has
been a disappointing season
for the young star. Forkner had
a shot at his first podium of the
year in the first moto but saw that
slip away after getting past by
both Jett Lawrence and Martin
late in the race. However, a 4-5
on the day was a confidence
booster for the Missourian.
"It felt great to get the starts in
both motos and run up front with
those guys," said Forkner. "The
track was rough, and you had
to be smart when picking your
lines. I made a few small mis-
takes that cost me. But overall,
I am happy with the day and to
finally put two motos together for
a good overall result."
