D Beach furthered his claim as the premier-class' pre-
eminent master of the TT with a measured and complete
victory of the 74th Peoria TT.
In doing so, the versatile Beach proved himself a worthy addi-
tion to the exclusive list of winners at the fabled race, becoming
just the fourth new name added in the nearly 20 years since
spiritual successor Nicky Hayden's legendary 2002 triumph.
Of course, that exclusivity in recent decades was almost
entirely due to the unchallenged dominance of Henry Wiles. But
with Wiles having moved onto AFT Singles competition, a new
TT pecking order has been established.
