lead after the first lap but wasn't
the same rider he was in moto
one. Cooper surprisingly gave
up the lead to his teammate Jer-
emy Martin who was third in the
first moto. Moments later, Coo-
per surrendered second place
his pace a bit the last few laps.
Cooper won moto one handedly,
officially taking the checkers by
more than three seconds over
Lawrence.
Round two started off much
like round one. Cooper had the
BARCIA, MOSIMAN
SIDELINED
The TLD/Red Bull/GasGas Team
will quickly put the Unadilla National
behind them. Two of its team riders,
Justin Barcia and Michael Mosiman,
suffered injuries during the two-
week break and did not suit up. The
type and extent of the injuries to Bar-
cia and Mosiman were not revealed.
Mosiman hopes to return next week
at Budds Creek, while Barcia is tak-
ing it race by race.
PLESSINGER: "I'M
GLAD IT WASN'T
WORSE."
Aaron Plessinger says he's hoping to
be at Budds Creek following his wild
loop-out crash in the first 450MX
moto. Plessinger was shaken up in
the fall but seems to have escaped
major injury. "We were having such
a great day, and I was feeling really
good, so it's such a bummer, but I'm
glad it wasn't worse," said Plessing-
er. "We're going to take it day by day
and get checked out again before
Budds Creek, and hopefully be right
back out there."
UNADILLA NOTES
Colt Nichols did not suit up. The
250MX rider is still nursing a shoul-
der injury that he suffered at the
previous round (Washougal)... Seth
Hammaker returned to action for
the first time since round two; he's
been dealing with an undisclosed
illness. He qualified third and went
9-21 in the 250MX motos... Preston
Kilroy was the top Suzuki rider in the
250MX class. It was the recent Lo-
retta Lynn's graduate's first pro race.
The rider from Wyoming went 16-10
for 12th overall... Luke Renzland
