Filmmaker Peter Starr On The Move
I
t has been 20 years since
Peter Starr made the film "Like
Father, Like Son" starring Kenny
Roberts and Kenny Roberts Jr.
The film celebrated that they
were the first, and still the only,
father-and-son combination to
win the premier class of World
Championship Motorcycle Road
Racing. They are also the only
father and son to win the World
Championship in any motorsport
road racing championship while
both are still alive. The film never
showed in the USA, making its
only appearance on UK televi-
sion.
But there are plans afoot to
change that, along with the
showing of all of Peter Starr's
30 films in a television series.
Both Kenny Sr. and Kenny Jr.
have been featured individually
in Peter Starr's Motostarr Video
Podcasts and can be accessed
through https://motostarr.com/
podcasts/ or though the Moto-
Starr YouTube Channel. https://

In case you haven't heard,
Starr has been producing weekly
video motorcycle podcasts for
many months now. Audio ver-
sions are also available on all the
usual audio podcast platforms.
The podcasts, he says, honor
America's motorcycling legends,
and now include a new series:
"Window On The World of Mo-
torcycling."
Jay Leno was the first guest in
this new series with his unique
position on motorcycling and
was recorded in the "Brough
Room" at Jay's garage. This is
followed by a visit to the Sammy
Miller Museum in the south of
England and a chat with ob-
served trials legend Sammy
Miller.
There are many past podcasts
already in the can, which include
interviews with Freddie Spencer,
Brad Lackey, Greg Hancock,
Bruce Penhall, Kevin Schwantz,
Miguel Duhamel, Debbie Evans
and many more.
Starr has many more inter-
views on deck, as well, including
chats with Terry Vance, journal-
ist Michael Scott and Jonathan
Rea, just to name a few. You
can check out all the Motostarr
Video Podcasts here and by
visiting the MotoStarr Youtube
Channel.
