VOLUME 58 ISSUE 31 AUGUST 3, 2021 P59
A
longside the new Honda
CRF250R comes the off-
road version, the revamped
CRF250RX, which also gets all the
same treatment as the motocrosser for
2022. Like the R model, the RX also
sees a significant reduction in weight.
The new 250RX is six pounds lighter
than the previous model.
The RX is fitted with Dunlop Geo-
max AT81 tires versus the motocross-
er's new Pirelli rubber.
Compared to the motocrosser, the
off-road RX comes with hand guards,
a smaller-diameter 18-inch rear wheel,
a larger capacity fuel tank (2.1 gallons
versus the R's 1.7 gallons, and the
RX's tank is made from resin instead
of titanium), suspension and ECU that
are tuned specifically for off-road rac-
ing and a removable kickstand.
MSRP is $8499. Availability has not
yet been announced.
