KTM's Reveals RC 8C
K
TM has taken the wraps off
their first track-only customer
sport bike in the all-new RC 8C.
The machine, powered by
a 128-horsepower version of
the 890 Duke R parallel-twin
weighs a mere 308 pounds and
is littered with high-spec compo-
nents including Dymag forged
aluminum wheels, Brembo
monobloc brakes and 19RCS
Corsa Corta radial master-cylin-
der, carbon-fiber winglets and a
one-off Akrapovic exhaust.
The chassis is a super-light
tubular steel unit, with the 4.22
gallons of fuel located under the
seat for ideal weight distribution.
Does all this sound familiar?
Well, it should, because the RC
8C is an almost identical copy
of the Kramer GP2 890 R that
Cycle News raced back in No-
vember of 2020. Markus Kramer
is the man largely responsible for
the bike, which uses the same
chassis, engine and data com-
ponents, the only difference be-
ing the winglets and the exhaust.
Only 100 units will be built and
they are already all spoken for.
But, hey, if you want the bike,
it's very, very, very closely based
off in the Kramer GP2 890 R,
there's plenty of those available
at the Kramer USA website.
Check out our race test of the
Kramer GP2 890 R here.
