before he could even sniff Alessi's exhaust and have any hope of
chasing Dungey down.
Meanwhile, Dungey was long
gone.
Dungey's first lap was a
2:00.672, and he followed that
with four consecutive laps under two minutes – 1:59.709,
1:59.618,
1:59.775,

– Dungey has now won at Budds
Creek three of the last four times
he's raced there.

Dungey said. "I've been fortunate
to have good success here. I like
the elevation. The off-cambers
are pretty tricky and the dirt is
good. Every year I enjoy coming back. It's just a good track to
race at. I think it really brings out
the best of each rider and challenges us."
Alessi ran third again until
he went down hard enough to
force his exit from the moto. That
handed third to James Stewart,
and his brother Malcolm – from
