IN THE WIND P28 Harley-Davidson Launches LiveWire One A few years ago, Harley- Davidson launched the LiveWire. Back in 2019, it was a new model that stood as the first all-electric motorcycle for the Milwaukee brand, and hit the market at the same time as the Zero SR/F. Now Harley-Davidson has launched LiveWire as a stand- alone brand. The first such bike from the brand is the—Harley- Davidson LiveWire. Well, not really, but it is the exact same bike Harley debuted in 2019, just minus the orange and black col- orway because it's not a Harley- Davidson. "As part of The Hardwire Strategy, we made a commit- ment that Harley-Davidson would lead in electric," Chair- man, President and CEO of Harley-Davidson, Jochen Zeitz, said. "We recognized the pio- neering spirit and brand value in LiveWire for our community and took the decision to evolve the original LiveWire motorcycle into a dedicated EV brand. Today's LiveWire One builds on the DNA of Harley-Davidson but with the electric focus and ambition of the new LiveWire brand. Harley- Davidson and LiveWire will con- tinue to rewrite the motorcycle rulebook and we are excited about this next chapter in our legacy." Now called the LiveWire One, one of the big boosts for the model is the price tag. At $21,999 MSRP, that's a very sizeable $7800 from what the same bike in H-D colors cost, which gives you a glimpse at the value of the name on the tank (or socket). CN Welcome the new LiveWire One. With an MSRP of $21,999 it's significantly less expensive than the original Harley- Davison LiveWire.
