The AMA Su- percross Champion is starting to show improvement and more speed with the work he's doing. 250MX The early leader in the first 250 moto was Rockstar Husqvarna's Jalek Swoll, win- ner of the third round of the series at High Point. He was soon overtaken by his team- mate RJ Hampshire, winner of the last round at RedBud in Michigan. As a matter of fact, Hampshire held the early lead in both motos at Southwick and appeared to be the fast- est man on the track, but in both cases he crashed, con- tinuing an unfortunate habit for the Rockstar Husqvarna rider. GasGas rider Michael Mo- siman inherited the lead from Hampshire in the first moto but then he also crashed while leading, under pressure by Hunter Lawrence.
