IN THE WIND P46 Ashland Dinner Ride to Raise Money for Hall of Fame M otorcyclists are invited to register now for the Ashland Dinner Ride, an annual tradition that raises money for the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. The ride includes a casual, scenic cruise from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, to the historic half-mile dirt track in Ashland, Ohio, on July 24 during AMA Vin- tage Motorcycle Days, presented by Royal Enfield. For a $45 donation to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, partici- pants may join the ride, have dinner at the track, and then move to their grandstand seats and watch a round of the AMA Vintage Flat Track National Championship Se- ries. Dinner ride participants also receive a pit pass to get a close-up look at the teams and racers. Spe- cial parking at the track is provided. The guided ride is optional. The route will be available to registrants at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame tent in the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course infield prior to the ride. Space is limited to 50 riders, so early registration is encour- aged. To register online, visit http://americanmotorcyclist. com/dinner-ride. Registration also will be available Friday and Saturday morning during AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days. The 2021 AMA Vintage Motor- cycle Days, presented by Royal Enfield, will feature an On Any Sunday theme, celebrating 50 years of Bruce Brown's epic moto documentary, with David Aldana— one of the film's legendary stars— serving as Grand Marshal. There will also be a special outdoor screening of the beloved film on Friday, July 23. Racers and fans will appreciate all the racing action, from road rac- ing and motocross to cross-coun- try, dirt track and trials—and much of it with an AMA Grand Champi- onship flavor. Riders as young as age four are permitted to compete in motocross, while those 12 and up can ride in trials, dirt track and hare-scrambles events. There's also exhibition pit-bike racing on Saturday. Learn more and register today at vintagemotorcycledays. com/page/racing/. The event will also include all the vintage-oriented happenings that classic-bike fans love, includ- ing Hall of Fame activities, vintage bike shows and the legendary swap meet. Tickets are still avail- able at www.midohio.com or can be purchased at the gate on the days of the event for an additional $10. CN Motorcyclists are invited to register for the Ashland Dinner Ride, an annual tradition that raises money for the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
