onster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha's
Dylan Ferrandis and Rockstar Husqvarna's
RJ Hampshire picked up overall wins at
the Twisted Tea RedBud National in Buchanan,
Michigan, regarded as the centerpiece of the
Lucas Oil Pro Motocross schedule.
For Hampshire it was the second year in a row
for a win at RedBud, while Ferrandis greatly im-
proved on his mixed results at the renowned
venue in 2020.
The circumstances were much different this time
around. Last year there were two RedBud rounds,
both in September, and neither with much in the
way of fans due to Michigan's Covid restrictions.
Also, both Ferrandis and Hampshire were in the
250 class together. This time RedBud was back on
its traditional July Fourth weekend date, the restric-
tions were mostly gone, and a massive crowd and
enthusiastic crowd of some 25,000 turned out to
celebrate motocross and America with a single
championship round. Ferrandis, last year's 250 Pro
Motocross Champion, once again, showed that he
