MX win of the year when he went 3-1 in the 250cc class at RedBud. Mike
Kiedrowski won the 125cc class... Steve Lamson was the king of the
mountain at Mammoth... Kevin Schwantz won the Dutch Grand Prix
after leader Wayne Rainey ran off

Staff projects was the Cycle News theme 20 years ago, which included
a restored 1979 Suzuki RM250 and a Suzuki RM250 motocrosser-
turned flat tracker... Ricky Carmichael and Larry Ward were the big
winners at the RedBud National Motocross... We covered the Formula
USA Superbike Series from VIR. Mike Ciccotto and Lee Acree
traded Superbike wins... Max Biaggi won the Dutch Grand Prix;
Toni Elias won the 125cc GP class... Mike Lafferty kept his perfect
season alive with his sixth win at the Rhody Rovers National Enduro.
