VOLUME 58 ISSUE 26 JUNE 29, 2021 P65 RINS SLAMS ZARCO Alex Rins was left reeling by Johann Zarco's early overtake that pushed him off track and forced him to fight back to 11th. The Spaniard was fight- ing for the podium positions before Zarco pushed him wide at turn 10. "I didn't expect that overtake, and the problem was his wing hit my arm," Rins said. "So, the only thing that was possible to do was to pick up the bike to avoid him. I went to the gravel. He destroyed our race. Since he came to MotoGP in 2017, he is so aggressive on the overtakes. Fenati was in- censed with Fernandez's riding at the close of the session and began gesticulating in his direction once they took the checkered flag. He was further angered by Fernandez brake-checking him when the pair stopped for a practice start on the back straight. It's then believed the pair had to be separated when they returned to their garage. The FIM Stewards' decision to punish them both stated they were "found to be riding in an irresponsible manner and after arriving at the pit box display- ing aggressive behavior with another rider." And all of this happened one day before team owner Max Biaggi's 50th birthday. Briefly...
