cago fall-to-fourth-place charge,
suggesting that Robinson is a
legitimate threat to the long-es-
tablished Bauman-Mees power
duopoly.
It was also noteworthy that,
despite the incredibly physically
demanding track, the race wins
were split by two riders recover-
ing from injury who have been
severely limited in their training.
But as impressive as both
Robinson and Mees were in
OKC, double defending cham-
pion Bauman is still the rider
atop the (tight) championship
order. Even though the victories
haven't come at the rate he'd
grown accustomed to—with just
one win in his last 11 outings—so

TWINS
Following years of near misses in the AFT
Singles class, Cameron Smith is at last
a Progressive AFT podium finisher with
a runner-up in Friday's AFT Produc on
Twins main. He said, "We started off the
day pre y slow with gearing and setup
but got it figured out throughout the day. I
made a few select changes and got a good
start and held my line. I made a lot of good
passes with everybody. I kinda struggled
to find a line, but once I did I stayed right
there and brought home a podium finish.
Briar Bauman (1), here dicing with
Mees (9), saw his championship lead
slip to seven points after going 2-3.
