Oklahoma, kickstarting his '21
campaign with a dominant vic-
tory on Friday night.
"I'm really just stoked," Wiles
said. "It's no secret we've been
struggling. We thought we'd
come out swinging from Round
1, and it's just been a struggle.
I've got to thank my mechanic
and sponsors and all the people
that help out this team. They've
really been busting their butts,
and I couldn't be happier with
the result tonight."
Wiles had the pace to double
up on Saturday but was ulti-
mately foiled by the same rider
who edged him for runner-up
string together podiums, he'll be
a difficult champion to dethrone.
Meanwhile, the aforemen-
tioned Vanderkooi continued
to establish himself as the best
of the rest with back-to-back
fourths coming on the heels of
back-to-back runner-up finishes.
Third Mission Roof Systems
rider Brandon Price rounded out
the top five on Friday and was
narrowly edged for the position
by Rackley Racing's Robert
Pearson the following evening.

ing his AFT Singles season with

start. He said, "All I knew was Briar and
Jared were going really good in their
semis, especially in that Mission Chal-
lenge—they kind of showed me where
Cory Texter (65) dominated
Friday's Production Twins final.
He also won on Sunday.
