You never quite know what's going to happen
when you put Richie Escalante (Honos Rac-
ing Kawasaki) and Sean Dylan Kelly together on
track. In race one, the pair swapped places for
the lead more than an incredible 30 times during
the 11-lap race, but a final-lap crash that ultimately
wasn't due to any collision but a case of Escalante
avoiding the crashing Kelly meant Stefano Mesa
(Mesa37 Racing Kawasaki) took his career-first
MotoAmerica win.
