Beta Introduces 2022 RR
Two-Stroke Models
B
eta USA introduced its four-
model lineup of two-stroke
RR models. Returning are the
RR 125 ($8349), 200 ($8999),
250 ($9399) and 300 ($9399)
off-road motorcycles. All four
received updated suspension,
while the 300 gets a new engine.
Beta claims that the 300's
new engine, with a new bore
and stroke configuration (73 x
69.9mm) and combined with a
dedicated new engine control
unit map, now has a smoother
and more progressive response
to throttle input along with a
more linear power delivery. The
300 also receives a new silencer
to better match the power deliv-
ery of the updated engine, and
both the 250 and 300 get a new
diaphragm spring clutch.
The Sachs shock on all the
RRs have new compression-
damping settings, with inde-
pendent high- and low-speed
damping settings. The fork has
new internal valving in addition to
a new fork coating. Beta explains
that the fork coating is the result
of a new anodizing process that
improves the surface hardness
and corrosion resistance of the
tubes.
The RRs also get updated
graphics and, as you can see,
more red bits.
Expect the new RRs on dealer
floors in August.
