onto the championship lead,
albeit by just a single point over
teammate Rush.
AFT PRODUCTION
TWINS
While the ever-entertaining
Danny Eslick, Dalton Gauthier,
Ben Lowe and Johnny Lewis
made a good show of it early,
Saturday's AFT Production
Twins main event came down to
a straight fight between cham-
pionship 1-2 Cory Texter and
Chad Cose.
Once Cose shook free of the
early battle aboard his Voodoo
Ranger/Roof Systems Harley-
Mischler's machine was visibly
ailing while Rush closed in fast.
One more corner would have
produced a different result as
Mischler hit the stripe in a cloud
of smoke, his bike carrying him
to (another) runner-up finish and
no further.
Meanwhile, Rush had to be
satisfied by finishing third and
remaining the only rider in the
paddock to have finished on
the podium in each of his main
events this season.
While he was never in the mix
for victory after starting from
Row 3, Daniels quietly reeled in
a fourth-place points haul to hold
As a result, all three were
desperate to finally break back
into the winner's column, and
their riding showed it. Rush was
in control early, while high-line
afficionado Mischler put his
Mission Roof Systems KTM out
front at mid-distance. Finally,
Australian Whale executed a pair
of inside maneuvers aboard his
works Red Bull Factory KTM to
deftly slide into the lead late, a
position he would lock hold of to
the checkered flag.
Although just yards back, the
last-lap drama was reserved for
the battle for second between
Mishler and Rush.
