His win came in front of Blackmon by just 0.166 seconds and fellow Aprilia rider Kaleb De Keyrel (Robem Engi- neering Aprilia) with Hobbs in fourth, the top four covered by a mere 0.615 seconds. the race-one win from Mesa and the impressive Benjamin Smith (North East Cycle Outlet Rac- ing Yamaha). Escalante came in fourth with the top four covered by 1.9 seconds. In the championship, Kelly still sits pretty with 95 points over Escalante's 78 with Mesa third at 49. >>TWINS CUP Teagg Hobbs (Innovative Motor- sports/Mike's Imports Suzuki) and Jody Barry shared the wins at VIR in two closely fought af- fairs, Hobbs taking race one by who left VIR with a seventh and fifth place finish—third on 61. >>SUPERSPORT Sean Dylan Kelly's (M4 Ecstar Suzuki) perfect season start came to an end at VIR when defending champion Richie Escalante (Honos Racing Team Kawasaki) took race two by 7.5 seconds. Kelly at least mini- mized the championship dam- age by taking second in race two with Stefano Mesa (#37 Mesa37 Racing Kawasaki) taking third. Kelly's Saturday was better, as the Floridian took pole and ROAD RACE FIM NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 2 / MAY 21-23, 2021 VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY / ALTON, VA P72 Teagg Hobbs (not pictured) and Jody Barry (717) shared Twins Cup wins.
