RIDING IMPRESSION
P70
2013 SUZUKI BOULEVARD M90
Suzuki will offer this multi-colored M90 for 2014.
you'll be the talk of the block.
Shifting is also smooth. Maybe
a tad clunky from first to second
but from there on up, all is good.
Clutch action is – here's that word
again – smooth, and one-finger
light. The moment of engagement is hardly noticeable at all,
making the big M90 fairly easy
to control at parking-lot speeds.
Low-rpm throttle response is also
crispy clean.
In a nutshell, the M90's motor
is just plain good. Really good.
It's what I really love about this
bike.
Suspension is pretty typical for
a big short-travel cruiser. In other
words, not plush. It is, however, a
bit cushier than the C90T's suspension that I just rode. I almost
wish it was the other way around
since the C90T(ourer) is meant
to cover a lot of ground in one
sitting, but it is hauling around 70
or so more pounds and is more
likely to carry a passenger, so the
suspension appears to be set up
a little stiffer. So hopping on the
M90 after riding the C90T for a
while came as a bit of a relief for
me, especially when you add in
the lighter weight and the more
powerful-feeling motor. Plus, I
like the more open-air feel of the
windshield-less M90.
