pain is in a financial mess.
Youth unemployment is at more
than 50 percent. The news is
bleak. The effects are visible. But not
at Montmelo.
More than 91,700 fans chose sport
over reality on Sunday – better then
10,000 up on last year. They were
rewarded with a results sheet resembling a national festival of the national
sport. In all three classes there was
just one foreign interloper on the rostrum (Switzerland's Tom Luthi, who
was third in Moto2).
There may be an interesting study
to be made there: correlating national
sports results with economic ups and
downs. The current MotoGP generation is the product of the Euroboom
