"I was riding pretty fast to
catch back up to the top guys
and I just got in a groove," said
Davis, who finished lap one with
just three points off of Smage's
pace.
Smage managed to stretch
his lead on lap two, shaving two
points off his first lap score of
15, while Davis' score ballooned
from 18 on the first lap to 23 on
lap two.
Despite the rain and worsening conditions, Smage sealed
the deal with a solid final lap, adding another 22 points to his total,
