Having undergone major surgery less than two weeks ago, he
was stunned to take his place on
the podium.
"I probably wouldn't have
thought it would happen," Woffinden said. "My shoulder hurts,
but that's just part of it I guess.
I've just got to get over it. I'm
happy with what I did. I came
here to score eight points and I
came away with 12. If I was 11th or
12th in the standings, I probably
wouldn't have made Gorzow. But
I was sitting second in the World
Championship before the meeting and it's hard to just let that go
away. I'm really pleased with my
performance and I'm still sitting
in second, which was my goal at
the start of the day."
