DiFrancesco
Suffers Setback
R
yder DiFrancesco, one of the top
riders in the motocross amateur
ranks, suffered a setback when he
crashed while training at Fox Raceway in
Pala, California, last week.
The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Team
Green Kawasaki rider suffered a broken
femur. His mother, Lisa, reported on so-
cial media that "Ryder is home from the
hospital and resting. It's for sure been
a rough few days, but he got through it
and the road to recovery begins now."
DiFrancesco recently moved up from
the mini ranks and has lately been com-
peting on 250cc and 450cc machinery
in the B class. In March, he placed sec-
ond in the Schoolboy 2 (12-17) class at
the Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur
Supercross.
It looks likely that DiFrancesco will
have to sit out this year's Monster En-
ergy AMA Amateur National Motocross
Championship at Loretta Lynn's. CN
