ROAD RACE FIM NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 1 / APRIL 30-MAY 2, 2021 ROAD ATLANTA / BRASELTON, GEORGIA P86 Stock 1000 The two Stock 1000 races saw a pair of different winners as Mi- chael Gilbert (MG55 Kawasaki) and Travis Wyman (Travis Wyman BMW) came out on top. Gilbert's first victory in race one came after the Califor- nian held off a determined charge from Ashton Yates on the brand-new Honda CBR1000RR-R SP, the Geor- gian coming up 0.825-sec- onds short at the flag. Wyman came home another half-tenth from Yates in third, with Jake Lewis (Altus Motorsports Su- zuki) and Danilo Lewis (Tecfil Racing BMW) rounding out the top five. Wyman would not be denied in race two as the Las Vegas man pulled to a convincing 2.8-second win from pole sitter Geoff May (Geoff May Rac- ing/VisionWheel.com Honda CBR1000RR-R SP), with Yates again on the podium in third. Gilbert didn't have quite the luck in race two, slipping to sixth at the flag behind the Lewis duo of Jake in fourth and Danilo in fifth. In the series points, Wyman leads with 41 over Yates at 36 and Gilbert third with 35 points. Junior Cup It's been a long time since a KTM won a Junior Cup race but that was remedied by Tyler Scott (Scott Powersports KTM), who took a 0.271-second win from Benjamin Gloddy (Landers Rac- (Above) Tyler O'Hara is pumped as he drags Kyle Wyman to the line to win the King Of The Baggers race.
