the back of the field before calling it an early evening on his factory Indian FTR750. AFT PRODUCTION TWINS Yamaha's victory in the AFT Production Twins class came in equally lopsided fashion. Too young by the rulebooks standards to advance up the ladder in 2021, Dallas Dan- iels instead dedicated himself to repeating as AFT Singles Champion this season, with an eye toward making select twin- cylinder appearances following his 18th birthday. However, Progressive AFT made it known that special permission may be sought by any AFT Singles rider, and that permission was understandably granted for Daniels. The rest is history. In his maiden ride aboard the big twin, Daniels proved unstoppable from the start. The ease with which he did it surprised even the young ace himself. "It's been a blast riding this thing. I thought maybe it would take a little longer getting used to it, but it was great right from the beginning." TT standouts Dalton Gautheir and Dan Bromley were ex- pected to provide Daniels his stiffest competition. And while his fellow AFT Singles champs didn't provide Daniels much resistance in the fight for the checkered flag, they did round out the podium with Gauthier putting his D&D Cycles/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson XG750R second and Bromley taking third on the Memphis Shades/Vinson Construction Yamaha MT-07. B&L Plumbing/Uncle D's Kaly Kolkman nearly held off Brom- ley for third en route to fourth. Royal Enfield factory rider and former AMA Supermoto star Johnny Lewis bounced back from a massive high-side—which brought out a red flag and put him at the back of the field—to charge up to fifth in the end. AFT SINGLES If any race was going to prevent the Yamaha triple, it was the AFT Singles main. FLAT TRACK PROGRESSIVE AMERICAN FL AT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 3 / MAY 1, 2021 ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY / HAMPTON, GEORGIA P118 Briar Bauman (1) fought his way onto the podium in third.
