But for one evening at least, all of the glory in the sport's universe belonged to Yamaha Motor Company. Somewhat ironically, despite its recent status as a premier-class underdog, the pressure on Yamaha to not only deliver, but deliver success on a scale never previously achieved by any manufacturer was immense. With Atlanta Motor Speedway just up the road from its American-based headquarters and Yamaha serving as title sponsor of the Yamaha Atlanta Super TT, the brand had the opportunity to pull off an unprecedented triple win on home turf.
