O
ver the past few years, the spotlight
once reserved for Harley-Davidson
at the top of the Progressive Ameri-
can Flat Track has shone down brightly on
Indian Motorcycle. But for one evening at
least, all of the glory in the sport's universe
belonged to Yamaha Motor Company.

status as a premier-class underdog, the
pressure on Yamaha to not only deliver, but
deliver success on a scale never previously
achieved by any manufacturer was immense.
With Atlanta Motor Speedway just up the
road from its American-based headquarters
and Yamaha serving as title sponsor of the
Yamaha Atlanta Super TT, the brand had the
opportunity to pull off an unprecedented
triple win on home turf.
