Damon Bradshaw was pictured on the cover of Cycle News 30 years ago
for winning the Dallas Supercross... We had coverage of the NMA World
Mini Grand Prix from Las Vegas. The big winner was Robbie Reynard who
won the 80cc Stock and Modified (12-13) classes and the Supermini (12-
18) class. Other winners were Daniel Blair in the PeeWee Modified class,
Ricky Carmichael (80cc Stock and
Modified, 9-11), Ezra Lusk (125cc
Stock Pro) and Phil Lawrence
(125cc Mod Pro, and 250cc Stock

We ran a photo of Ricky Carmichael on the cover 20 years ago from
Dallas after he clinched his first 250cc Supercross Championship with
two rounds to spare. Jeremy McGrath had been the number-one plate
holder for the last seven of eight years... Valentino Rossi won the South
African Grand Prix... Colin Edwards won race one in the World Superbike
Championship at Phillip Island. Race two was canceled due to weather...
