Lawrence giving out some panic-
rev warning calls.
"I just made a few silly mis-
takes," said Lawrence after the
race. "The tracks gnarly...but I'm
still happy to be on the podium,
at least."
Lawrence currently sits fourth
in the championship, seven be-
hind Christian Craig, but will likely
pick up third as Craig is not set to
race in the finale.
All eyes were Nichols as he
looked to wrap up his first 250SX
title on Saturday. The points lead-
er suffered a poor start and came
through the field, latching on to
Lawrence in the meantime. He
battled briefly with Mosiman but a
mistake on Mosiman's part gifted
the position to Nichols. With
Shimoda up front and checking
out, his goal of wrapping up the
title a night early looked to be out
of reach.
"The last few laps were a little
frustrating, honestly," said Nich-
ols. "We'll take it to next week-
end, and we've got a comfortable
points gap, which is always nice."
He continues to lead the se-
ries, carrying a 23-point advan-
tage over Shimoda heading into
the East/West Showdown.

Christian Craig set the fastest lap
time in 250SX East qualifying then
crashed and broke his leg a few laps
later. For the veteran, it was a bitterly
disappointing way to end his title run.
