Battle Of
The Baggers
H
arley-Davidson has put
out its first episode of the
second series of Battle of The
Baggers as it teams with Kyle
Wyman for the upcoming Mo-
toAmerica King of The Baggers
Championship.
The episode focuses on Kyle's
history coming from a family who
has their own Harley-Davidson
franchise, started by his grand-
father in 1962, through to the
introduction test at Laguna Seca.
This is the first factory road
racing team fielded by Harley-
Davidson since the VR1000
project of the 1990s (not including
the one-make XR1200 Cup back
in the late 2000s), and Harley will
be going head-to-head with arch
rivals Indian Motorcycle, as well as
custom builders like Roland Sands
and Michael Woolaway from
Saddlemen Seats for the title.

Aleix Makes The Bet
A
prilia MotoGP rider Aleix
Espargaro got to fulfill a
dream at Misano over the week-
end, riding a factory-spec Aprilia
RSA250 two-stroke grand prix
racer that ran in the latter years of
the 250cc world championship.
Espargaro took part in a
private test session at Misano in
which Aprilia's three-time 250cc
GP champion Max Biaggi was
also present, and enjoyed the
day so much he made a bet with
his employers for the rest of the
MotoGP season.
If he gets on the podium,
which would be Aprilia's first
in MotoGP's four-stroke era,
Aprilia will let him test the RSW-
2 500cc twin-cylinder that
was raced by Tetsuya Harada,
Doriano Romboni and Jeremy
McWilliams.
But if Espargaro gets on the
box twice this year, Aprilia is to
wheel out the infamous RS Cube,
the three-cylinder prototype that
ran from 2002 to the end of 2004
with Regis Laconi, Noriyuki Haga,
Shane Byrne and Colin Edwards.
Sounds like Espargaro has
plenty of motivation now to get
Aprilia back at the front of Mo-
toGP, if he ever needed any at
all.

the sensations of
