There is currently a five-rider tie atop the Motorcycle Superstore Holeshot Championship points after four events. In the 450 class, Muscle Milk Honda's Justin Barcia extended his Holeshot points lead in moto one. He's now up three points on James Stewart in the season standings. "Definitely holeshots are key," Barcia said. "We'll just keep charging, trying to get those holeshots. It's pretty good to get out there first." Josh Grant grabbed the holeshot in moto two, which put him into third place in the Holeshot standings. "This year has been a bit of a struggle for me," Grant said from the podium. "I'm coming off an injury, but I'm so glad to be out here and to be up for this Holeshot Award." Justin Barcia (51) continues to get good starts but he's yet to hold on for a win. But he's close. that only those who have ridden motocross can truly appreciate complete confidence in his own abilities and trust of his motorcycle. High Point attendees truly witnessed a melding of man and machine into one. Those leaning over the fences, waving t-shirts in encouragement, saw the wide eyes of Mar- Ryan Villopoto gained six more points and is now holding a 16-point lead in the 450-class championship over Ryan Dungey, defending series champ, (193-177). Second-ranked Eli Tomac lost nine points to 250-class leader Ken Roczen. Roczen now holds a 15-point lead over Tomac in the series standings after four rounds (185-170). Tomac was asked how far down in the points would it take before he felt it was crunch time in the championship chase. "You don't want to get behind by more than one moto at the halfway point," Tomac said. "You want to stay as close as you can. It looks like it's easy to lose the points in the beginning of the series, at least in the past seasons I've raced. We're continued on next page
