CN III VOICES P20 LETTERS TO THE EDITOR "Young riders don't need people saying they 'get out of shape' when the crash was completely not his fault." Supersport Crash Please make a correction to your coverage of the June 2 AMA Supersport coverage from Road America (Issue #22, June 4). Ricardo Valdez did not "get out of shape" on the start of race two. Thomas Puerta wheelied his machine and drifted into Valdez, taking out his handlebars and causing the crash. Valdez is an up-and-coming young star in road racing; he qualified third and finished sixth in Saturday's event. He is a very talented rider and ran in the top four for most of the first race until arm-pump caused him to back off the pace. Young riders don't need people saying they "get out of shape" when the crash was completely not his fault. The rider out of shape was Puerta. Gordon Lunde Milwaukee, WI Doesn't Want To Pay Golly, how about those of us who were shafted when Cycle News abruptly closed? Of course, I do not have my receipt - just a bitter taste. Granted, the online magazine is better than all other Interweb Moto-Stuff. But I cannot read wherever I want, whenever I want. I have some issues from 'the Day' when I got in the news, but will not pay for Archives. Still, keep up the work. Jon Stauffer Debary, FL We feel badly for those who lost their subscriptions when Cycle News closed its doors, but we also feel for those who lost their jobs. Charging what amounts to less than what some people pay for a designer cup of coffee to look at decades of old Cycle News is hopefully a way of making sure it doesn't happen again… Editor Not A CTX Fan Why did I spend 37 years learning what's best to ride and why by you guys, only to be told in the future everything I learned was wrong. A near 700cc, 500-pound bike for a newbie? Forward controls, high bars, laying back on the flat, sore butt muscles, away from the wind, and this is comfortable? The letters for this bike model should just be SF "simple fraud." Moto Guzzi embarrass Honda once more and bring back the greatest bike model ever made (ask any Guzzi dealer). We buyers have already had a choice for a very low center of gravity, light weight, superbike handling, great gas mileage, and no shift transmission, sold back in the 1970s - the V1000 Convert. Gerry Alden Via Facebook TV! Hard to not be impressed with all the motorcycle coverage on TV of late. You can basically burn up an entire week watching AMA motocross on Saturday, AMA road racing on Saturday and Sunday, Isle of Man TT at night, World Superbike on the laptop on Sundays, MotoGP on Sunday morning… What's not to like. Sam Hagin Via the Internet Got An Opinion? If you've got an opinion on something you've read in Cycle News.
