MIKE BROWN STARTS OFF THE 3 ENDUROCROSS SERIES WITH TWO STRAIGHT WINS VOL. 50 ISSUE 23 JUNE 11, 2013 (Left) Mike Brown led all laps en route to his second-consecutive win. (Below) Despite having to toss his goggles, Taylor Robert kept Brown honest the whole way. Even with the fourth gate pick in the main event, Brown quickly took the lead when Blazusiak and Colton Haaker went down together in the first turn. Monster Kawasaki's Taylor Robert immediately slotted into second and the two riders battled closely for the entire main event. Each seemed to have stronger sections on the track. He said the wrist injury slowed him a little in Sacramento but worse yet, "I was sick as a dog all week and that was much worse than my wrist." The Women's main event was intense and 16-year-old Lexi Pechout took her first ever EnduroCross win with a last-lap pass for the lead. She was closely followed by fellow Canadian Chantelle Bykerk. Rachel Gutish led all but the last lap before getting stuck in the firewood pit and dropping back to third. The night also included several amateur classes and Dirt Rider magacontinued on next page
