PHOTOS: ROB KOY Red Bull Day In The Dirt Down South Returns T he 2nd Annual Red Bull Day In The Dirt Down South was held at Dade City Motocross at the Pasco County Fairground in Dade City, Florida, March 12-14. Last year, the race was shut down Friday night due to Cov- id-19. Red Bull was so impressed with the facility, however, they vowed to come back in 2021 to finish what was started in 2020. Unfortunately, this year's race was limited to 30% capacity, but that's better than nothing. The three-day event started with practice Friday morning and led up to the first race of the weekend later that afternoon. The Reunion Race was for riders who spent time at Cocoa Beach, Chicken Farm, Sunshine Moto- cross, Dade City Motocross or Gatorback in days past. Michael Picone got the start and held on to win the 30-minute Reunion race. The just-for-fun Pink Flamingo Dash for Glory Pit Bike race ended the day. Saturday started with the Vintage Grand Prix won by Randy Richardson who topped both the Vintage GP Expert/Pro and 50+. Next was the Blendzall 2-Stroke Still Smoking race, which Ryan Sipes won aboard his Troy Lee Designs GasGas 250. The Nitro Grand Prix Team Race AKA "The Old Switch- eroo," where a team of two riders exchange a wristband every lap, was won by Team Dum & Dum- mer's Trevor Stewart and Deegan Vonlossberg. The Bossa Nova Grand Prix consists of three-man teams with all three riders on the track at the same time, scored together. The team with the lowest combined score wins. Individually, Trevor Stewart won the 40-minute race. Josh Grant came in second and RJ Wageman third. Team Ride Florida won the Bossa Nova Moto Industry class. The last race Saturday was the Pro/Am Grand Prix. Wageman won the Expert/Pro 450 division, and Andrew Boccarossa won the
