For the third year in a row, Kawasaki swept the
Daytona Supercross, which means getting wins in
both the 450 and 250 classes. This year, Cam-
eron McAdoo (Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawa-
saki) made it happen by winning the 250SX West
main event. It was the first Supercross win of his
career. And he's also the new points leader after
two rounds.
McAdoo snatched the lead away from another
young rider who was hoping to get his first Super-
cross win, Stilez Robertson.
In what would be a 14-lap race, Robertson
(Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) led the first eight of
them before finally giving away to the more ex-
perienced McAdoo, who went on to take the win
3.6 seconds ahead of the Husqvarna rider. But it
wasn't an easy one for McAdoo who got pinched
off in the first turn and was forced to come up
through the pack.
McAdoo was thrilled to get the win. "That is
what we worked for," he said. "When I got the win,
I instantly started to think about how many people
have stood behind me since I was an amateur and
