e're barely into March and
Honda has already unveiled its
complete six-bike line of 2022
CRF 450cc motocross, off-road and dual
sport models. For the most part, all of
them, except for the CRF450R and Works
Edition motocrossers, are unchanged.
As expected, the '22 CRF450R,
CRF450RWE (Works Edition) and
CRF450RX models get updated engine
ECUs and revised suspension valving for
"better holdup and improved drivability and
balance." That's about it.
The CRF450R ($9599) will be available
in May and the Works Edition ($12,399)
in August. The lower-priced CRF450R-S
($8599), which is based on the previous
generation (2020) CRF450R platform,
returns in September.
The off-road CRF450X ($9799) will
be in dealer showrooms in June, and
the closed-coursed competition model
CRF450RX ($9899) in July.
The '22 dual sport CRF450RL ($9999)
will be available in May.
