Olsen On Top In Italy
T
he second round of the
EICMA International Moto-
cross Italy Series took place in
Sardinia, March 6-7, where Rock-
star Energy Husqvarna's Thomas
Olsen came away with the win in
the combined Supercampione
class (for both 450cc and 250cc
bikes).
Monster Energy Kawasaki's
Romain Febvre was the early
leader but would later crash. He
still managed to finish second
ahead of Monster Energy Star
Racing Yamaha's Glenn Colden-
hoff. Beta-mounted Jeremy Van
Horebeek was fourth.
Coldenhoff, however, took the
MX1-class victory over Olsen and
Yamaha's Ben Watson.
Holcombe Warms Up With Enduro Win

rit Steve Holcombe, on the factory
Beta, got his season started with a win
at the opening round of the Italian Enduro
Championship, March 6-7. Holcombe
topped eight of the 18 special tests, best-
ing fellow Beta rider Brad Freeman by 14
seconds for the overall victory.
Sherco's Harnish MacDonald was third,
followed by TM's Will Ruprecht and Sher-
co's Antoine Magain.
"I can't think of a better way to start off
2021 than with a win," said the seven-time
World Champion, Holcombe, who has his
eyes set on the 2021 Enduro World Cham-
pionship, which fires up in June. "I honestly
came here aiming for the podium, so to hit
the top step is more than perfect. I think I've surprised
myself with the win. But it's great to be back racing."

Nicholas Lapucci of Fantic Factory Team
Maddii, took the MX2-class win ahead of
Andrea Bonacorsi (Hutten Metaal Yamaha)
and Tim Edberg (Ghidnelli Racing).
