Ciao, Fausto
Fausto Gresini passed away on February 23
following a long battle with Covid-19. The
Italian, revered around the world as an icon
of motorcycle racing, took the 125cc World
Championship in 1985 and 1987 as a rider
and would later take titles with Daijiro Kato
(250cc, 2001), Jorge Martin (Moto2, 2018)
and MotoE (Matteo Ferrari, 2019) as team
leader. Here he is at the 1985 Belgian Grand
Prix at Spa on the factory Garelli 125 on his
way to his maiden world crown.
