CN III VOICES P18 LETTERS TO THE EDITOR "I give the Honda CBR500R two big ol' thumbs up!" Cycle News East Yes, please get the east Archive editions scanned ASAP. We don't care how the hell they do it in California! Joe Bold Cleveland, OH Archives Rule Good job on the Archives… digging my way through the 1970s right now. James Stephens Via the Internet Trials Coverage Trials… if you never been, then you are not a true motorcycle enthusiast Period! Randy Stauff Via Facebook Superbike TV Good to see CBS Sports is taking up where Speed will leave off. I, for one, am glad to get the NASCAR channel away from motorcycle racing. Maybe they will give it the attention it needs. I will not miss Speed. Steve Snyder Via Facebook Likes His New Honda I went and bought the CBR500R non-ABS and it is bitchin.' I am more than stoked about the price I paid ($5200). The bike can definitely be ridden aggressively and will haul plenty of ass when wound up. And it lays down a high-14, low15 second quarter mile at about 90 mph and is just under 50 horses. I love this thing! It is so ridiculously smooth on the highway you only notice the slightly high revs if you look at the tach. I definitely recommend this bike for anyone - high skill level or low. Oh, and for the commuter 60 mph at 4500 rpm is super mellow. Maybe I'm just excited by the purchase of a new motorcycle, but I give the Honda CBR500R two big ol' thumbs up! Frederick Browne Via Facebook The New KTMS Dear Santa… Sean Billenstein Via Facebook Crucial Corners I really enjoyed Michael Scott's feature [Crucial Corners, Issue 20, May 21] on the corners that matter in Grand Prix racing. I still feel bad when I see that photo of Colin Edwards crashing out of the lead at Assen… wonder how different things would have turned out if he hadn't crashed there. Also interesting that the new Lorenzo Corner has caused so many so much grief over the years. Again, thanks for the story. Good work. James Etheridge Via the Internet Liking Trials Great coverage on the U.S. Rounds of the 2013 FIM Trial World Championship. The video really highlights the incredible level of riding displayed by these world-class riders. As a spectator, the event was a blast to watch! The 12 sections were very easily accessed and provided incredible obstacles for the riders to overcome. Hope we get to host another round in the U.S. next year. Jeff Mueller Via the Internet Got An Opinion? If you've got an opinion on something you've read in Cycle News.
