A
lthough he considers it his "hometown track," Grant
Baylor (KLM GasGas) says the Big Buck course is his
least favorite on the 13-round Grand National Cross-
Country circuit. Regardless, the South Carolina rider came
from behind to give GasGas its first major off-road win and
establish himself as the man to beat in the 2021 season.
The series kicked off at the Big Buck GNCC without its
eight-time series champ, Kailub Russell, who has retired from
full-time racing. Also missing from the Big Buck starting line
was Grant's brother Steward, who finished off last season
with a flurry of wins, but who sat out the South Carolina race
due to an injury he suffered two weeks before.
