SUPERCROSS MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 8 / FEBRUARY 20, 2021 CAMPING WORLD STADIUM / ORL ANDO, FLORIDA P60 250SX West The 250SX West Championship got off to a rocky start with two of its stars heading back to the pits with injuries before the first lap was even over. The Martin brothers, Jeremy and Alex, both went down in separate incidents that forced the red flag to wave and a subsequent restart. Jeremy (Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha) went down first when he checked up over a jump and another rider, Stilez Robertson, landed on him from behind causing a multi-rider pile-up. Jeremy retired to the pits with what appears to be a shoul- der injury (no official word yet out of his team's camp). He was taken to the hospital for evaluation. A little farther up the track, Alex Martin (Manluk Racing/Rock River/Merge Racing Team) went down and appeared to have suffered a concussion. He, too, retired to the pits for further evaluation. Justin Cooper rode with precision all day and night, winning the first round of the injury- plagued 250SX West Championship.
