Roczen fought hard to get around Tomac on the 21st lap and then tried desperately to get around the TLD/Red Bull/Gas- Gas rider, Barcia, before it was over to keep the points damage to a minimum, but to no avail. Roczen crossed the finish line just one second behind Barcia to finish fourth, his worst result since finishing fifth at Houston 2. A podium for Barcia didn't seem in the cards earlier in the day.
