SUPERCROSS MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 7 / FEBRUARY 13, 2021 CAMPING WORLD STADIUM / ORL ANDO, FLORIDA P58 250SX East Jett Lawrence nailed the hole- shot in the 250SX East main with the two championship leaders settling in right behind him— Nichols second and Craig third. Lawrence, who is no longer in championship contention after missing a round in Houston due to an injury, had nothing to lose and let it rip in Orlando. He was rewarded with his second career victory. "Today was a smooth day," Lawrence said. "I felt like I rode very smart...I felt like I was smarter with my thinking process. In the main event, I executed my start very well and was able to manage the race to the checkered flag. Colt was on me, which was good to have the pressure there, keeping me on it." Nichols chased Lawrence the whole way and never gave up on the win, but he was happy to finish ahead of Craig. "I just didn't quite execute the start as well as I wanted to," Nichols said of the start. "Jett got ahead of me and was able to control the inside. So that was kind of the race right there. "The track was a little difficult to pass on, and it was so slick," Nichols added. "The moisture started to come up, and it got slicker and slicker as the night went on. So that made it tough. But overall, I can't complain. I got some points in second place, and that's always a good thing. I just was a little bummed about my riding. I felt really flat Jett Lawrence led from start to finish in the 250SX East main.
