ooper Webb captured his second win of the
2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Cham-
pionship, and it was an important one for the
Red Bull KTM Team rider. Just when it was beginning
to look like Honda HRC's Ken Roczen might be getting
a firm grip on the championship after winning three
straight races, Webb, the closest challenger to Roczen
for the number-one pate, said no more, and put a halt
to the momentum that Roczen had been building.
Roczen came into round seven of the 17-race
championship in Florida leading Webb by 16
points, it's now been trimmed down to 13.
In the 250SX East Championship, only
six points separated the top two riders—
Monster Energy Star Racing Ya-
maha teammates Colt Nichols and
Christian Craig—coming into the
Florida race, but neither would
finish the night out on the
top step of the podium.
