Honda to Bring Android Auto
Integration to Africa Twin
H
onda announced that An-
droid Auto will be integrated
with the current-model Africa
Twin models (2020 and newer).
As has already been the case
with Gold Wing models since last
summer, Africa Twin customers
with Android smartphones and
the Android Auto app will be able
to enjoy application services
including music, phone calls
and messaging, at no additional
cost. To utilize Android Auto with
Africa Twin models, a Bluetooth
headset is also required (sold
separately). App and communi-
cation costs may apply.
The CRF1100L Africa Twin
Adventure Sports ES and stan-
dard Africa Twin already include
Apple CarPlay integration. Now
the models will also bring similar
technology to Android users.
Africa Twin owners who would
like to add Android Auto integra-
tion should visit Honda's website,
where detailed instructions will
be provided for downloading
the software to a USB drive and
uploading it to their motorcycle.
A passenger volume-control
function will also be included in
the software update.
